My Mom, Kathleen Temme-Fetherston, was a walking festival and she marched through life to the beat of her own drum. She was known for her endless hat collection and artistic flair, which as her daughter often included the painting of my shoes to match my equally colorful ensembles. So in her spirit this Mother's Day weekend, I'll be parading my brightly brush-stroked kicks across the globe in a 10K to raise funds for The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
A chronic, degenerative neurological disorder, over five million people worldwide are currently living with Parkinson’s and there is no known cure. But with hope in our hearts, the Hat Lady Brigade is asking for your support in our (virtual) race to help change this.
Join as a participant or cheerleader and 100% of our fundraising efforts will go straight to MJFF's research to develop improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's and to eliminate this disease in our lifetime.
What: Virtual 10K
When: Mother's Day weekend (May 7, 8, 9)
