An estimated 5 million people worldwide are living with Parkinson’s disease (PD), and I’m inviting you to join me in helping accelerate a cure. I am taking part in the Los Angeles Fox Trot.
In March 2018, I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. With the love, encouragement, and understanding of my family, friends, and medical support team, I am committed to staying strong and enjoying every day of my bright and brilliant life!
I’m taking on this challenge of raising $5000 for The Michael J. Fox Foundation and sharing the importance of a cure for PD.
Parkinson’s disease is a chronic neurodegenerative disorder. Its symptoms often change over time and affect movement, facial expression, speech, and memory. Currently available treatments only temporarily mask symptoms while the disease continues to progress.
Through an aggressively funded research program and robust public policy efforts, The Michael J. Fox Foundation seeks to speed scientific progress toward better treatments and a cure for Parkinson’s. And they are making progress, with more therapies in development than ever before.
Together we can accelerate this vital work. Please join me in reaching my personal goal of $5000. Your gift is tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law and will be maximized for the greatest benefit for patients and families: 100 percent of Fox Trot proceeds go directly to the Foundation’s pursuit of a cure.
Thank you for helping move us toward the day we end Parkinson’s for good.
