Thank you for visiting my page! This year, I am participating in the Michael J. Fox Foundation's (MJFF) Fox Trot 5K Run/Walk for Parkinson's Research.
More than 6 million people worldwide are living with Parkinson’s disease (PD) — a chronic neurodegenerative disorder. There is no known cure for Parkinson’s disease. As the world’s largest nonprofit funder of PD research, MJFF is working to change this.
This is a personal cause for me, and I know it is for many people. My dad passed recently (July 2020) from Parkinson's disease. Dad was a brave and proud man and he fought the disease until he could no longer fight. The disease took the man I always looked up to, depended on and the man I call, my dad. I Thank God for all the years and all the memories we were given. Parkinson's took my dad's final years but dad leaves a legacy in his wife of 62 years, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. I would like to reach my goal and exceed it if possible, in the name of my dad, Ralph (Rafael) Alvarez.
Help me move a cure for Parkinson's disease over the finish line by making a donation today.
